Amanda Ba

Amanda Ba is a painter who lives and works between New York City and London. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, but spent the first five years of her life with her grandparents in Hefei, China. Currently her work draws upon the critical theory of Mel Chen and Donna Haraway, more specifically the concept of animacy tugged out of its linguistic home and applied to race and queer relations, and the naturecultural relations of the world at large.
